VON, a team of Chinese players competing in the North American Vainglory League (VGL), rocketed from the #20 seed to become the #1 seed after reaching the finals of the last qualifier. With Vainglory launching in China, all eyes will be on VON as they attempt to win the VGL title for China. "VON" means "hope," and this team will have thousands of players rooting for them.

 In the first VGL qualifier tournament, VON, a team of Chinese players living in the US, surprised many by reaching the finals despite being the 20th-seed. But as they won 锚点round after round, it quickly became clear that this group of elite players was capable of defeating any team in North America.

 By the time VON reached the finals, they had gained so many fans and so much respect that many spectators expected VON to win the tournament. In most of their games, they would sprint to an early lead, either dominating in kills, in gold, or both.

 VON came up a bit short, narrowly defeated by Ardent Alliance despite holding an early lead in the pivotal match. But they rebounded quickly in their quest to make it to the Live Finals in California and have already reached the VGL round of 16 — this time being recognized at the tournament's #1-ranked team.
